Frequently asked questions.
I’ve never taken a Reformer Pilates class - can I still sign up for a class?
Experience on the reformer is not required. If you feel you have any physical restrictions, injuries, or circumstances that may require working at a slower pace or need frequent modifications please consider scheduling a private class as your first class.
Scheduling a private class does not mean you are unable to take group classes in the future - it simply allows our team to analyze your personal needs on a more individual basis to keep you safe and strong!
Still not sure? Do not hesitate to contact us to talk you through this process and help you select the class style that best fits your needs!
What should I bring to class?
Exercise props and towels are provided. Some clients prefer wearing grippy socks, although they are not required. Bring a water bottle or drink of choice - we do not have bottled water for sale, although we do have a filtered water station at both studios.
What should I expect during my first class?
Our studio holds a high reputation for our known methodology that strategically aligns and plans for a full-body workout. The Signature Experience by Exhale is a branding concept that focuses on our general class flow. Expect to hit all key areas - with control, sculpt and form being at the forefront of each class.
Also, don’t feel like you need to be a pro after your first class! Pilates terminology, the reformers… everything become less intimidating with each visit.
Do I have to know which springs to use?
No! We will talk you through that and give you spring options along the way!
What is your cancellation policy?
All group classes have a 15 hour cancellation policy. This allows other clients ample time to sign-up for a class that may have previously been full. We ask that private and semi-private clients cancel within 24 hours. Classes that are late cancelled result in the loss of a class credit. At this time we do not charge additional late cancellation fees.
What is your waitlist policy?
First and foremost - if a desired class time is waitlisted, get on it! The waitlists constantly move! Otherwise, as long as you have active class credits on your account, our software can add you from a waitlist up to 2 hours prior to the class start time. We strongly encourage clients to remove themselves from the waitlist if they can no longer attend a class time. This will keep the waitlists moving AND help prevent incurring a late cancellation fee (loss of a class credit) should you be added to the class outside of the cancellation window.
What is the best way to purchase and book classes?
We encourage all clients to download our branded app (Exhale Pilates Studio in your app store). It is the easiest way to view class times, pricing, your schedule and waitlist status.
Classes can also be booked through the “Mindbody: Fitness, Salon & Spa” app or under the “Book Here” tab in the top right corner!
